The BSc programme in Mathematical Sciences is a three year programme of study which leads to the BSc degree. It can be followed by a fourth year to obtain the BSc Honours degree. The programme serves as a basis for graduate study and research in Mathematics as well as the use of Mathematics in various careers.

The aim of the programme is to produce graduates who

- can continue with graduate studies in Mathematics,
- can enter a career where a sophisticated quantitative ability is required, such as certain areas of the insurance or banking industry for example,
- can follow a teaching career at the secondary or tertiary level.

It is aimed at students who want to build their careers on Mathematics, and who will enjoy the challenge of the following one of the following programme streams:
